The Podechesis Podcast (Episode 26): On The Benefits of Salvation–An Introduction

What are the benefits of salvation?  What does it mean to be justified and sanctified?  Is salvation a moment or a process?  When does God’s grace begin to work in our lives?  What is effectual calling and why did John Wesley strike it out of the catechism all together?

In this episode of The Podechesis Podcast, Brett, Jim, and Allen discuss questions 31 and 32 of John Wesley’s Revision of the Westminster Shorter Catechism: Q31-What is effectual calling? & Q 32- What benefits do those who truly believe partake of in this life?  They will also discuss the benefits of justification and sanctification, John Wesley’s ordo salutis, and the need for accountability.

Along the way, Brett makes a case for the irresistibility of Double Stuff Oreos, Allen attempts to create a sanctified (perfect) Blizzard, and Jim proposes that we change the name of our group to The South Georgia Divines.
